Galilean Invariance

The laws of motion are the same in all inertial frames. (wikipedia)

The moving mesh unconditionally shows satisfactory results of the Galilean Invariance even in the low resolution tests contrat to the static mesh.

Results given in the static mesh with bulk velocity obviously show discrepancy from those without bulk velocity.

Kelvin helmholtz Instability

Moving Mesh

50*50, Kelvin Helmholtz Instability test with bulk velocity vx=1, vy=1(left), snapshot at t=2.0(right)

50*50, Kelvin Helmholtz Instability test without bulk velocity

Static Mesh

50*50, Kelvin Helmholtz Instability test with bulk velocity vx=1, vy=1(left), snapshot at t=2.0(right)

50*50, Kelvin Helmholtz Instability test without bulk velocity

Rayleigh Taylor Instability

Moving Mesh

48*144, Rayleigh Taylor Instability with vx=0(left) and vx=1(right)

Static Mesh

48*144, Rayleigh Taylor Instability with vx=0(left) and vx=1(right)
